Real Estate Promotion Ideas

The best ways to stand out from the crowd in real estate is to keep your marketing fresh. You need to scour for more ideas; better ways to do things; discover unique and unusual tactics. to help out your position in your field. I have found a few ideas that will help in this ongoing chore. First, keep the word out there promoting your real estate business. The best ways to do that is to keep posting content online. It is a great way to build up the SEO impact of your website. An enormous percentage of your customers and prospects do all of their research online. Content is the most effective way to get your information in front of those internet browsers.

Blogging is very important for content. Write about all of your knowledge that you possess about real estate. Write about buying a house, selling a house, financing a house, decorating a house, building a house. The real estate world is your oyster! Write about it!  Also, write posts and write posts often. Post on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, Google+, LinkedIn and any other groups or forums that you belong to. Posting often allows you to develop a online personality that your followers will expect and then trust. And, you meet many new people!

Next Idea is to contact previous clients. And ask for referrals during that call. Asking can be hard but that is where the majority of your business will come from. They are the essence of your marketing. Do not be afraid to ask

Then there is Target Marketing. Sometimes we get comfortable working in the same old same old situation and people. This is the best time to start thinking outside of the box. Create a whole new target market and see how the new experience with revitalize and energize your whole strategy. Try a new neighborhood to send out farming  postcards. Go to the neighborhood, wander around and get to know the locals. Visit a coffee shop, a yoga studio, a bar or a football game. Ask questions about the area. Educate yourself on the nuances of the community. And then devise your marketing strategy for this particular neighborhood!

Drop Ins are a flash from the past. Surprise visits can be gifts when you stop by to see an old client. Just “catching” up can not only make their day, but it can provide great conversations that lead to referrals and opportunities. Stop by with a gift in hand like coffee or cookies. And your Drop In doesn’t have to be at someone’s home. Drop into the bookstore where they hold special magazines for you. Drop in to your favorite restaurant where your favorite server is working. Drop in the the Auto mechanic shop.  All of these Drop Ins add up to not only great PR but also to future referrals and prospects!  Drop Ins speak louder than words.

Stop by your neighborhood elementary school and see if you can volunteer an afternoon a week or to give a “career” talk. Teachers, principals, kitchen and office staff and parents are all a part of the daily culture in schools and are excellent prospects. Develop relationships and you will have all of the inside information you need for that particular neighborhood!

Another idea is to become involved with not only your Chamber of Commerce, but your Downtown Merchants Association and any other Merchants groups in your community. These organizations are often in charge of certain events such as the annual carnival, art show or Christmas parade. Suggest co-marketing together with not only the Association but with individual businesses. You can promote that business to your email list. You can put up a flyer at their location. If they are a business that deals with homes, you can co-brand and send referrals to each other.

Sitting on a board is a solid contribution to the community and a great way to make connections. Local groups normally have a difficult time getting people to serve, so it shouldn’t be difficult to find a position.

Writing articles and posts, sitting on boards, dropping by your favorite restaurant and chatting with a server all increases your results over time. Keep your name and business in the public eye and success will be your prize!

To be successful in real estate you have to be able to do more than just close the deal. You need to effectively manage and grow a small business.
